Easily Remove Oil Stains from Your Driveway

If your driveway is covered in oil stains, we have some tips to help you get rid of them that is cost effective and it works. Oil leaks usually happen with older cars and can leave a big mess. We have compiled a list of tips to help you remove these ugly stains. Check them out below:

  • Liquid dish soap: Squirt a good amount of the soap onto the oil stain. Use a stiff bristle brush to scrub the stain until the oil starts lifting off of the concrete. Rinse with a hose and repeat until the stain is gone.
  • Powdered laundry detergent: Sprinkle the detergent over the oil stain until it is completely covered. Add a little water and use a stiff bristle brush to scrub the detergent into the stain. Let it sit for at least one hour then spray off. Repeat until the stain is gone.
  • Coca-cola: This method works best after you've used one of the methods above. After most of the oil has been removed, pour a can of cola onto the dry stain and let it sit at least six hours. Then pour another can over the stain and scrub with a brush. Let it sit another hour then spray it down with a hose.
