Getting Prepared for Trouble On that Holiday Road Trip

Don't head out on the roads this year and just assume everything will be fine with your vehicle. Instead of being stranded on a dark road in the middle of nowhere, consider these travel tips.

Take some time to check that the spare tire is fully inflated and all the tools needed to jack up the car and remove the tire are in your vehicle. If the tire looks suspect, have it repaired now before you travel on the highway.

Pack an emergency box with things like tools, water, duct tape, road flares, flashlights, things you can use to alert other drivers you are broken down and need assistance.

If you don't have one, purchase a new gas can and leave it in the trunk in case you run out of fuel miles from the nearest service station.

Stop over at Frank Boucher Mazda of Racine so we can give the car a complete inspection too.
